For their launch event announcing the new self-driving Cruise consumer vehicle, the Cruise team invited me to paint a mural reimagining a future with fewer cars on the road.

Inspired by the environmental benefits of this, I set out to reimagine the fundamental structure of cities — imagine if, because self-driving cars could autonomously and efficiently navigate roads, we had fewer streets, cars on the road, and accidents? This could also be a future in which animals are allowed to flourish in their natural habitats, undisturbed from car noises and infrastructure.
